Town Hall

Well I thought I was going to stay at least one more transfer in Jihlava but the Lord had other things in mind! I was transferred to Liberec which is at the very top of the Czech Republic.  I wasn't to sure about it when I got the call but now I know that I need to be here! I'm super excited for it!! My new comp is Elder Wutzke and he is from Dallas Texas the big d! He is way cool and I'm excited to be with him he is in the same group as elder Gubler! Jihlava is very green and a pretty big city we have a small branch here and that's it.  The branch was kinda dying and was blinded out last transfer in both areas so they started from scratch and have a lot of success and have two people on date right now so I'm excited to help them on their path! Way excited! City is so pretty!!!

Last week in Jihlava was sad.  I have met so many amazing peeps and was so sad to say goodbye to some amazing people! It was a pretty normal week just the usual contacting and what not! 

Sunday was the saddest giving my last testimony in Jihlava then taking pics with people then packing and saying goodbye to other people like Marek and what not!!

That was pretty much my week! Nothing too special until today just traveling across the country alone with no phone and huge bags haha!!

Cauzdar

Wassup everybody its always a good time to see how everyone's week was! Dana & Mom, hope you are enjoying yourselves in Mexico City looks like a blast! 

As for my week it was pretty good! We had zone conference on Tuesday in Prague and the theme was We Have to Learn from the Best to be the Best it was good and way spiritual! I learned a lot and it was fun to see peeps and just hangout a lil!! Then that night we had English it was good!

Wednesday we had contacting all day which is good but ruff! Its really hard not to get discouraged sometimes when you are on the streets for 6 hours and no one wants to talk to us barely got to a 5 min convo! So a hard day but still made the best of it!

Thursday was good we headed over to Trebic to do some group contacting and it rained the whole time so it was super fun and I forgot an umbrella so yeah we got soaked.  I went out with Elder Jacobson which was nice, we had a fun time and we won the scavenger hunt thing that we did where you have to certain piece of clothing to look for like talk to everyone with a red shirt and stuff like that! Teenage girls were 9 points out of 12 and very scary to talk too but thats how we won just talked to every girl we saw haha it was pretty funny!!

Friday just normal stuff weekly planning and contacting!

Saturday was a good day at the farm and helping him get his food ready for his 200 turkeys that he bought a couple weeks ago so that was fun!!

Sunday was normal church but during relief society they called me in to translate for sister Hamon our new senior missionary and man that was rough!! Marcela sent us a text that she wouldn't be there again and will be out of town with her family which is frustrating but at least she not working!

Pretty normal week but this week is last of the transfer and will be interesting to find out if I head out or stay here in Jihlava, I still think I'm staying!! But only God knows I'm sure I'll be wherever I'm needed!!

No ahoj vsichni!! Jak se mame? Dobry rad to slysim!

It was great to see everyone yesterday you all look really good! Great to hear everyone's voices and what not and see all the little boys! Crazy to hear Russell talk he didn't talk when I left that's crazy!!

Anyway, my week was pretty good so the new senior missionaries from New Zealand got here and they are awesome! The Hamons! Already getting their accent down! Haha they are really funny super fun people and they really want to learn Czech so it has been fun helping them with that! We have spent a lot of time with them this week trying to get them all settled in and stuff so we didn't have a whole lot of time to go out and try to find some peeps! But it was fun being busy with them and what not!

Wednesday morning we went on a lil walk hike with Jirtka or Jiri they are the same name but he likes Jirtka better! It translates to George haha! so that was fun and he asked us about tithing so we taught him that it was cool! Then we got home showered and went and helped the Hamons again! 

Thursday was normal contacting and all that stuff!

Friday we had district meeting in Trebic and started are exchange.  I was with elder Andrus so after dm we dipped out and visited a member in Trebic then we had our culture night for meeting standards and we had an american culture night went to a Trebic vs brno baseball game which was basically a glorified high school game.  It was fun then went to a steakhouse and there was a cool Jackson hole Wyoming sign so I took a pic a pic with it of coarse! 

Saturday we were still on exchange so we drove to a little town and did some tracking which was fun gotta love the European where they just answer the doors in their underwear hahaha!! Oh and we also got mooned by some drunk dudes that morning on our run so that was eventful too bad i didn't have my camera....

Sunday was good but I had to give a 20 min talk so yeah that was exciting especially when they texted me Friday night to give it and I was in trebic for the whole day! so yep that was fun! Ja jsem mluvil o evangeliu jezise krista a ja jsem se myslil ze to to byl dobry hahaha! Yeah it was good then we got home did some calls visited a member went to Catholic mass pretty interesting on mothers day they bring out the big virgin Mary statue out and pray to it yeah pretty interesting stuff haha! Then skyped!

Today was good just did a lil contacting got some kfc and then went to the underground catacomb place which was way cool, I'll send pics!!! Yeah pretty good week just l  it up out here in Jihlava!! 2 weeks till next transfer and we have zone conference tomorrow and I'm very excited for that!!

Dang Tait Heywood is a cutie congrats Parker and Lauren on the new healthy baby! I can't wait to see everyone on Sunday should be fun! Really excited to hear the little ones talk!

My week was pretty average nothing special Just the basics contacting and more contacting didn't get to have any lessons this week. Adrian was sick and Marcella is out of town till tomorrow so we haven't been able to start our workshop with her but will probably get to that with her this week! Yeah did find a lady her name is Kveta and have a lesson with her on Thursday so I'm excited for that! Umm in honesty that's about it. It was a bit of a not fun week but I was bound to have one of those soon because the last couple weeks have been really good! We have a lot planned this week so I'm excited for this week! 

So news; Jihlava gets a senior couple tomorrow so that will be fun helping them out tomorrow and showing them around the city and what not they are from new Zealand way stoked!

Also we only have 3 weeks left in this transfer and my vibe is that I'm staying here the lord needs me here in jihlava and Im not complaining about that I love Jihlava!

Oh highlight of the week was on the farm I caught a little garden snake so that was fun!

Missionary tan line is a real thing!

Cau cau ja te miluji

WE HIT STANDARDS!!!! So it was a really good week we found 4 investigators which was way cool. I'm not going to go by a step by step in this weeks letter because I got a way cool story for ya'll!!

So like 3 weeks ago after zone conference, me and Elder Jacobson started our exchange so we got home and went contacting then about  6pm I had this crazy prompting do go show him the attic of our church building here in Jihlava which is like way creepy and cool! So I did and showed him and as we were walking down the stairs to go back out there was a kid and his dad looking at our English paper on the window so we walk out there and say whats up, the usual, yeah we are here from America and we teach English every Tuesday all that jazz! So he was way interested he was learning English but needed more help! So the kid came to English the next week and has been every week since then! His name is Adrian and is from Albania and is here for soccer. Total bro hes 17! So he really liked English and just being with us and talking with us so I told him, hey we can meet more than once a week but here's the catch we have to teach you about our message. He said ok and we had a lesson with him Friday night so after the English stuff we did tried to find out what he believes and what not; turns out he is muslim but not very active so that kinda took us by surprise but we just stuck to our game plan and man it was the most spiritual lesson I've ever been apart of! When I recited the 1st vision to him it was amazing I have never felt the spirit so strong! after that we asked him what he thought and he told us that it could be true so then we brought in the book of Mormon and explained that he can know if our story is real was way cool!! I know that this Gospel is true there is no way that it isn't!

Also our lesson with Marcela went very well we got in on what is holding her back and its just smoking! She just wants to quit smoking then she wants to be baptized! She is kinda struggling with it though the whole quitting smoking but she is trying so hard she knows the gospel is true! Then president told her about this workshop about quitting smoking in 7 days but we don't know how to find it so if someone can find it and send it to me please so! She said she wants to get baptized this summer but won;t commit to a date, haha shes hilarious and I love her!! 

So yeah that was about it this week hey so on mothers day I'll be skyping at 6 here so I hope that works for everyone!! I love you all have a good one!

Monday Already?

What a week! This week honestly flew by and it was a pretty good one!!!

So Tuesday was a normal day we had studies contacting you know the usual then had English and it was way good there is this new kid that came from Albania.  He's here playing soccer and needs to practice his English that's what he told us when we met him so he came! He's way dope!! He was also really interested in why we are here so there is definitely some potential there!

Wednesday oh man Wednesday.... was not the best day I really think the Lord was really trying to test me! So first of Tomas, that guy that me and Elder Jacobson met didn't show up so I was a little upset about that! So we had nothing else on plan so we literally contacted the whole day and the sun was out the whole time and my arms got burnt to a crisp but that wasn't even the worse part! So we contacted this old dude maybe like 55 and he didn't have interest so I hit him up with the alspon jake se mate dneska? at least how are you today? The dude literally just started yelling at me for that and I usually don't say anything back but I was kinda offended so I just said, "Sorry sir but I didn't ask anything about religion all I asked was how are you today? Yeah that made him even more mad for some reason and he used some mean words so all I said was that God loves you and walked away he was still yelling as we walked away then 5 mins later I stepped in freaking gum, then about 30 mins after that some teenagers were mocking us and stuff asking if we believed in god so I did the natural thing and said, "Yes I do! do you?" I don't think he knew we spoke Czech so that kinda startled him then said no I believe in weed. so I just told him that I'm sorry to hear that and that its bad for you as they are just laughing at us! I've never really been angry while contacting but man the Czechs were really testing me on Wednesday! After that we took a break and read in the Book of Mormon and I said a nice long prayer after that! Lets just say Wednesday was not the best! At least now that it is hot everyone sells ice cream and man it sure is amazing ice cream, I've had some everyday!

Thursday was so fun we went on a vylet with Jiri! We hiked to some castle ruins and it was so pretty and way cool! Then we had lunch and shared a spiritual thought with him! He is so cool and does every commitment but prayer so that is our next stop with him! Hes doing good though and asked if we could go on a vylet every week! haha we told him maybe every other week! I love that guy!

Friday we had district meeting and interviews with President so that was good! In my interview we mostly talked about Marcela and what more we can do for her! We finally got a meeting with her on Saturday and its way lit, president will be here in Jhlava so we are going to teach with him I'm so pumped!! Our goal is baptismal date! Shes so ready she just needs to see that she is ready!!

Saturday farm day enough said..

Sunday we drove to Prague with Marek for stake conference pretty cool every member in the Czech was there!! I got to see Filip and all my missionary friends but I was really bummed that Marcela could not come! Then when we got home we went to catholic mass with Adriana it was good we talked about stake conference and stuff!!

Jaro Je Tady!

Spring is finally about here and I can't tell you how happy I am for it!! I wore a short sleeve shirt everyday this week except one!!! All the trees are starting to bud, man I think I actually got sunburned the other day!!!

So I had a great week! Started the week off with Zone Conference v praze je to byl uzany!!! We talked about how we can better help others and by doing that we have to have more charity and love it was super good and was fun to see all the homies!! Elder Gubler was their and Scmutz! They aren't in our zone but Gubi had visa work the day they had theirs so they got to come to ours it was so much fun!!! Just everyone was there it was just so much fun!! Great day!! Then me and elder Jacobson started an exchange right after!! Hes in his 3rd Transfer so only one behind me!! He is a cowboy like literally!! He's nationally ranked for roping and would tour the whole country so cool!!! That night we just went to dinner with Marek because that's all we had time for!

Wednesday was a blast!! Eder Jacobson were here in Jihlava and we had a grand ole time and had the goal to talk with literally everyone!! Even if it was a huge group of teenagers or something we would talk to them! haha teenagers are scary especially in groups!! It was fun then the rest of the district came over about 3pm and we did some group finding! SO Elder Jacobson  and I had a way cool experience we talked to this guy and he was interested so we asked if he could meet another day and he said no but he told us he had time now! SO we were like yep ok so we found a bench on the namesti and taught him the whole restoration it was so awesome!! Kinda weird me being the older one and kinda leading the discussion and him looking to me for words but even weirder was that I had the answers for him!! I testify that the gift of tongues is real! He set up for next Wednesday so that is was cool!!! He was so cool!!! so that was my Wednesday!

Thursday nothing special weekly planning and kontaktovani! 

Friday was good but I think was testing me on charity everyone was so mean it was so frustrating and was hard not to be sassy back to people who give sassy answers but I think I did ok I started ending each kontakt with Buh vas miluje just so they know!! Then we got a call a hour before inspiration night asking if we could do it so that was fun!! Ended up watching the restoration in Czech and it was cool petra is back from America so it was fun catching up with her!

Saturday was farm day nothing special just cleaned up a field and stuff and moved stuff!!! Next week we might go back to the original and actually work with animals!!

Sunday was a good one!! Marcela came and it made me so happy!! President svoboda gave an amazing talk on his conversion and hid baptism he was literally talking to her it was great so we kinda caught up and she told us that she went to a stake activity and loved it!! It was great !! Shes so great she just makes me happy and she was just answering every question during Sunday school I gave her knuckles after she answered a question and prez svoboda was like yep ok I have nothing to add!! Her schedule is crazy but we over heard her talking with members that she is coming to church more and made the commitment to not work on Sunday! So proud!! We just need a meeting so we can give her a date!! So we have Stake conference in Prague next Sunday and her husband cant go so she is trying to figure out to get a ride there!! and the whole Czech republic is going so I get to see everyone all the missionaries and members I'm so excited to see Filip from Ostrava!!!

Yeah so my week was pretty great!!! We got some things planned this week so I'm excited and interviews with prez on Friday woot woot I've been having this feeling that I need to stay in Jihlava next transfer so that is my first question for him!!!

Well that about it!!!
