Ahoj Vsem! Meli jsme uzasny tyden!

Wow we had a pretty good week here in the  Prague area!

Monday was pretty normal with contacting. But the sisters investigator the one from Tawain loves basketball so we played with him! It was so much fun to run around for a bit and shoots some hoops and play a lil one on one! I was sure sore the next morning! RDV was fun that night because it was Saint Patricks day We went Irish! A sister in my district did Irish dancing so she taught us all how to Irish dance as the game. Lets just say we suck haha! It was a lot of fun though! Also we had district meeting!

Tuesday we studied and contacted for a bit then we had to go to the dentist for my companion his teeth were hurting him for some reason. that was a task to find that office haha. I'm excited to have smart phones in a month so that i can use google maps to find stuff earsier haha. the Czech adress system sucks here. then we had a lesson with Denis it went alright he just kinda has a wall up for some reason and we are trying to figure out how we can bring it down. Then we taught English which is always fun. A new guy came and we actually set up to teach him this next week after English so that will be pretty cool. Then we had a lesson with Ilona who has been sick literally the past 2 months so it was so good to meet with her and see how she had been doing! We taught about the Book of Mormon and read Moroni's promise with her and committed her to read and pray about it! It was cool then we went home and slept!)

Wednesday was a lot of fun! We went on a little trip with the sisters and our investigator to Karlstejn castle! It was alot of fun! I got to be in an Asian photoshoot again woohoo the pics are way good ill send some! We also went up to the place where our mission was dedicated and had a spiritual thought there it was way cool then we got lunch and caught our train back home. Then we had a lesson with Andrew one of our investigators. He hadn't read in the Book of Mormon so we retaught that and recommitted him to read! Then we had a lesson with Vladimir the kid that has a Bapt Date he is doing way good! I love that Kid. We went over the Bapt date questions with him to see where hes at. He just has a problem with coming to church so we taught about church and committed him to come! So I'm praying that he will so he can make his date next month! But hes doing way good! it was a pretty perfect day haha!! A lot of fun!

Thursday was a way normal but elder Schmutz and his comp were in Prague for his comps visa work so we got to go to lunch together it was a lot of fun to see him and catch up with him! Then yeah we weekly planned and had Dinner at a members house which is always way sweet! Then we started an exchange with the aps and all slept over at their apartment.

Friday was awesome I was on an exchange with Elder McQuivey! We saw a lot of miracles! We gave out 2 Books of Mormons and got this guys number then this nice old woman gave us some free goat cheese and told us she was going to come to church! It was awesome! Then we had some really good lessons with some recent converts! Finished off the day with correlation and dinner with the District!

Today was chill as always and we walked around Prague haha whats new!

I love you all

Ahoj Rodino!

Had a very solid week here in Prague! I think I'm finally used to Prague haha It took me long enough! I don't know why it took me so long to adjust? Anyways...

Sunday was a solid day! 1st Sunday of the year and two hour church! It was good! I cant wait to study with you all with our extra hour of church! Also the Aps came in clutch and put these people on date so we hit standard so that was awesome! Then we had lunch at a senior couples and she made Costa Vidas' burritos with the ranch dressing, I was literally in heaven! I ate 3 of them! Then we met up with our group of investigators and members and headed to inspiration night it was good!

Monday we started an exchange with the aps because I'm their DL so I get to go on exchanges with them! I was with Elder McQuivey he's a way cool guy and we get along great! We taught that woman Stepanka at a cafe and it went very very well. Shes very interested and said that we could meet again this upcoming week! She wants to come to church but is out of town today and tomorrow so next week she will come to church! She was so nice! Not really a believer in God but a believer in a higher power (classic czech) but it went well we really focused on the Kniha Mormonova with her! She had already read a lil before our meeting! It was so cool the spirit was super strong! Then we contacted the rest of the day and got a couple numbers but no one wanted to set up right then and there! Then we had FHE with some people at the church and then went home! It was a good day!

Tuesday we met with a LA guy that we have been working with and he really wants to get to the temple so we made some goals with him! It was an awesome lesson! After that we had district meeting. Then we did studies and so pretty crazy story so Sestra Desantiago contacted this woman from Brazil and told her that we teach English. SO this woman put it on facebook so we walk down stairs and there were 18 Brazilians wanting to learn English, it was insane!! SO it was pretty hard teaching in Czech to the Czech people and in really slow English to the Brazilians!! It was a bit hectic but so much fun!! Then turns out the girl that invited everyone was a member haha! But we gave a fire spiritual thought about the Book of Mormon. Byla skoda that we didn't have more Books of Mormon in Portegues. But we gave away 2 and told them we would have more next week! Then after English we had a lesson with Ilona! She is great and so nice she really loves the church. She read some Anti stuff on the internet but she didn't believe it because we are too nice of people for that stuff to be true! We taught her the Plan of Salvation and we tried to get her to commit to church but her work is crazy so she can't come but shes coming to inspiration night tomorrow! it was a fun day!

Wednesday I woke up with my Stomach killing and a lil bit of a fever so I slept most of the day which sucked!

Thursday I woke and felt pretty good so we got to work! It snowed all day so we spent time in the metro! Also we had a lesson with Denis. It was good he just progresses very slow which is frustrating but he's at church every week so he will get there. That night we had our interviews with Prez. They are always the best. We talked about a lot of things but mainly on how we know if someone is elect or not and how we should measure success. Two things that have been hard for  me out here! It was a great chat! I love Prezident so much! He is the man!

In the Metro!
Friday we had studies and contacting we found this way cool guy in the metro that set up for next week! Hes from Liberec but studies in Prague so of course I got way hyped haha! Hes cool so I'm excited to meet with him next week! Then we had our Culture night we went to this like String concert/opera/ballet, it

was cool but one hour was enough for me haha! Then we headed back home! It also snowed all day that day too!

Today was good we went on a lil nature walk/ hike with the other elders to get out of the city for a bit then did our 3 hours of pross and cleaned our apartment nothing to special!

Overall a way solid week here in Prague! I love you all! The Gospel is true!

Ahoj Vsem a Strasny Novy rok

Finally got his package!

Hey everyone! Happy 2019!! Crazy that a new year has already come!!
Church was good it was last week of 3 hour block thats about all I remember of Sunday.

We had a good week here in Prague! Monday we had some time to do some contacting! So we went around with a picture of all the apostles and prophets asking people if they knew these men? It lead perfectly into teaching the restoration so we did a lot of teaching just no one wanted to set up with us which was a bummer but it was good we got to testify a lot and I felt the spirit so I can't complain on what I can't control! Then Jindra my old buddy from Liberec called Elder Wutzke and wanted to see us because he was in Prague. So about 4:30 me and elder Witzke went on a lil split and went and saw him! I love Jindra he's such a good guy it was fun to see him! Then Prezident had us all over to celebrate new years we played some games and ate food he made some traditional dishes like some sausage thing then he made tatrak for us all! (the raw meat) it was good! He told me i could make it at home but we just have to find really really ground beef! so ill make you some when I'm home! Then it was about 9:30 when we left so we got permission to stay the night at the Aps because they live super close to the building rather than a 30 min metro ride to our flat. Czechs know how to do fireworks thats for sure! Its a war zone out there haha!

Tuesday we went on a trip with some investigators to Karlstejn castle! One of the best castles in the Czech its so pretty! The we had district meeting after that we contacted around and that was our day!

Wednesday we had a lesson with a new guy, Vojtech. He was taught the resto on the street and had questions about plan of salvation. So that's what we taught it was a very good lesson the spirit was definitely there! Then we had some time to contact and found a super awesome lady named Stepanka we have a meeting with her on Monday I'm excited for that! Also my companion had visa work so we also did that! Also prez told me I'm getting me license so I might be driving here pretty soon! He found out that I can drive stick haha it was pretty funny! Thanks mom and dad for teaching me!
Thursday we had contacting time and a lesson with Denis! It was a good lesson we went over the great apostasy again and why we need authority! It was good hes progressing slowly but surely. Then we went and got some dinner with him. Then went home! Good day!

Friday was good we did weekly planning and had a lesson with a woman from Jamaica that was found before I got here she was interesting but she coming to church tomorrow so that's cool! then we had correlation later that night

Representing Gilbert Football on the St. Charles Bridge
Today was fun we went and played squash with the district this morning! I have never played squash but once I got the hang of it it was so much fun! It was nice to get a nice sweat on! Then we went and walked around Prague and got some brunch! Then we went home showered and did our 3 hours of pros and have been just hanging around ever since its been a fun day!

I'm so grateful for this gospel! I love it so much! I have been studying all the talks from last general conference! I'm so thankful for a prophets and apostles! I highly recommend elder Christoffersons talk from General Conference for you all to study this week!

Love you all

Monday we had Christmas eve and we got invited over to the Black family they are from America and work for the Embassy here they are so nice! We had dinner and did the nativity with their kids!

Tuesday morning we went over to Presidents and had breakfast and those people that got packages from their parents opened them. Then we went and walked around downtown Prague! A senior couple invited people over that would be alone so we went over to help them it was really fun it mostly was just all the recent converts. Then we went back and skyped! It was good to see all of you!

Wednesday was good we had two member visits and one brought a friend so we taught her the restoration it was really good!

Thursday we had our Christmas conference so that was fun i got to see a lot of my friends! The 1st day of conference was the more fun part we played some games had a talent show and watched a slideshow of the year it was cool! Then people came of to our apartment! Vesele Vanoce!!!!!

1st things 1st! Happy Birthday to Mom!! I love you mom you are the best!!!

We had a pretty good week here in Prague we will start of with Church I had to give a short little talk about Christmas so I talked a lil about service and told how we go and feed the homeless every year! Everyone though it was crazy that we crack about 10 gallons of eggs haha!! Then we taught one of the sisters investigators during second hour because they were teaching someone else! But we hit standards!! Standards here is a lil more challenging we have to have 2 new people at church 2 new people on date and 6 new investigators but we did it!!! It was awesome and we had a baptism this week and we had one today! The aps are killing it! Then we had inspiration night and I talked to a member's friend the whole night and got her digits so it was a successful inspiration night in my opinion!

Monday was a normal day we contacted. Then we helped some members clean a room and the library in the church then had a lesson with a recent convert. We also had Family home evening at the church with the YSA we did a white elephant it was pretty fun!

Tuesday so my comps relatives come from the Czech republic so we met up with one and he took us to lunch! He was way cool it was cool to see how they were related! He invited us to his place for dinner after the holidays so that was pretty cool hopefully we can teach his family but he wasn't too interested in the gospel but such a nice guy! Then we had District meeting! After we had a lesson with Denis it was pretty good we taught with a member and just really focused on who Jesus Christ is! It was good. Then we taught English it was fun! After that we headed home for the day! Then the Zone leaders came over and we had an exchange the next day!

Wednesday we had our exchange. I was with one of the best missionaries in the world. I was with elder Raines! We had so much fun! So I have been struggling with contacting in the metro so we gave our lessons to the other companionship and we spent almost all day in the metro! All in all we spent 5 hours in the metro haha! We brought props with us and contacted with them! My favorite was that we had some Christmas lights and we asked people why light was important. we were like sir we are underground in a tunnel right now, why is light important? Then we would relate it all to Jesus Christ it was awesome! We got 5 numbers but of course its Christmas so no one can really meet till after the Holidays so that's a bit of a bummer! We still had a lot success. We even did language study in the metro haha we would ask people to teach us words it was way fun! Then they left and we had ward council!

Thursday it snowed almost all day so that was great....  we started our day with a lesson then did some studies had lunch went contacting had another lesson with a new person it was really good!! Hes coming to church on Sunday! Then went over to a members for dinner with the sisters! It was a good way to end the day!

Friday was really good! We studied and contacted. A lesson didn't show up. We set up for the Christmas concert that the ward pust on. Then we went up to pezidents place and made Halusky with him! He invited over some nonmember friends so we made halusky for all of them it was so much fun! I love Prezident hes the best! We had dinner and then had the concert! It was cool to see the talent in the ward! It went a lil longer than expected but prez said it was fine if we get home late! we got home at 950! But it was really fun!

This morning we had a Baptism for Igor one of the Ap's peeps, he's way cool! He was a Russian MMA fighter! So awesome and literally the humblest man ever!! Prague District is doing great!!! We walked around Prague the rest of the day it was a lot of fun!

Well I'll talk to you all on Tuesday for Christmas! Cant wait to see you all! Especially all the little boys! Ill be calling at 6:30 my time so thats about right now but on Tuesday! I love you all have a good one!

Ahoj Vsem

Wow already pday! haha I'm stilll getting use to the whole Pday on Saturday thing! But its nice!
SO I'm going to start with Sunday! It was insane holy cow, so many people at church! haha it was hard because we are in Prague and there are a lot of languages here so it was hard to determine who speaks Czech and who speaks English!  Sunday school was cool, we had a class just for investigators and new converts so that was awesome and Prez was there with us! Its always awesome to see him teach and see him in action! haha I answered a question right and he gave me knuckles I thought it was hilarious for some reason! The ward is awesome! It is nice being in a ward! Then we had a prep class for the Melchizedek priesthood and we went because we had to translate for the only Czech there so that was fun! Then we had inspiration night! We had a lot of investigators there it was really good and a lot of fun!!

Monday and Tuesday were just grinding days! Tuesday we had a lesson with an excommunicated member so that was interesting. Then we had a lesson with a man named Denis he is from Ukraine. He is a progressing investigator he has been to church every week the last couple months and he gets everything except authority so we still need to clear that up but he knows that baptism is the goal! Yeah hes a good guy very humble which is awesome!

Wednesday we invited the Liberec district down to Prague to do group finding for Christmas! It was fun! We contacted and did some singing displays a couple hours and everyone found someone so that was really cool! Success!!! It was good we had our whole district there it was there it was the only day the aps were in Prague so it was good to have them! And the sisters here are Stls so sometimes they are gone too! But we had everyone!

Thursday and Friday were normal working days didn't really have any lessons

Today we had a miracle! SO im gonna be honest I've had a rough couple of weeks and just have felt like I don't really belong in Prague. So every time I would pray I would ask heavenly Father why am I needed here in Prague. I didn't feel like I was doing much here. I missed Liberec and just felt a lil inadequate here. But this morning he answered my prayers. So we were on our way to the building and we were in the metro and so we were talking to this guy and he left after about a stop. Then I sat down next to this girl and started in Czech but we went to English because she doesn't know Czech and is actually from the Philippines. we talked for a bit and turns out she wanted to know more about us! We took her the building gave here a tour showed her the baptistery because it was being filled up for Zdenka's baptism today. Then we taught her. and it was one of the most spiritual lessons I have been apart of she really opened up to us and told us how she thinks that God does not answer her prayers. And I was like oh my gosh this woman is just like me the last two weeks. So it was just really spiritual and I was prompted to give her a baptismal date and she accepted! It was just a really cool experience and a answer to my prayer. She was the answer to our prayers and mine and we were the answer to hers! It was awesome! Then Zdenka's baptism was really awesome she was so happy! Baptism is amazing!

Well that was about my week! I know God lives and that  he loves us and answers prayers!

Love you all

Prague Week 1

Dang, so its pretty weird emailing on Saturday! I have never been so confused in a week. So much goes on in Prague and I don't know who to speak English to and I don't know who to speak czech to! Its been a real struggle on that boat but it was a pretty good 1st week of the transfer.

SO the rest of Monday I got situated got my public trans pass and all that jazz. and then we had family home evening at the church  building we watched the 1st presidency devotional so that was cool!

Tuesday we had district meeting which was good I gave a lil training about goals then we set goals of what we wanted to accomplish this transfer as a district! We have high goals but we are way stoked! I have a baller district and I'm way excited for what the Lord has in store for us this transfer! We are going to see lots of miracles! Then we all went out to lunch it was fun! Its been way fun to be around elder Wutzke again. Then we had a lesson with a less active it was good we committed him to come to church and he said he would so that was good. Then we had two new lessons with new people on plan but they didn't show up so we went contacting and I need practice in the metro! I've always struggled with public transportation contacting so that is my goal this transfer to get over that! That was about our day.

Wednesday We contacted then had a lesson with new person. Her name is Pavla she was way cool and really interested in the gospel! She had a lot of good questions and we taught all of the restoration the spirit was super strong so that was really cool. She really reminded me of Marcela from Jihlava so I have really high hopes with her! She said she couldn't come to church but said she was excited for our next lesson! I think she is elect! Then we did some group finding with the aps! We took a whiteboard to the street and wrote free church tours and went contacting about that! it was cool! Me and elder Wutzke gave a tour to this old couple it was way fun teaching with him again haha! Then me and elder Hard met this girl from Peru and took her on a building tour it was way cool and really fun!

Thursday lets just say it was a rough morning, I did not feel good but about 12 I started to feel better.Just in time to do my 1st baptismal interview! Her name is Zdenka and is way awesome. Shes the aps investigator! She honestly has a stronger testimony than I do! It was so awesome! She is getting baptized next week so that will be awesome! Shes golden Im excited to get to know her more these next months! After that so there was the senior missionary conference this past week so the district had to take shifts in the office and stuff! So we had our shift after that, I did an essay for school applications still not done yet sorry Mom it will be today....hopefully. Then we had a lesson with our investigator Denis we went over to a members house and had dinner and a lil lesson. It was way good. Hes a good guy but his main concern is authority. So on the way home we really got his main concerns out and will go over them next week! But hes come to church the last like 4 weeks so hes doing good hopefully he will be baptized this transfer. it was a good day.

Friday we had to watch the office at 9 so we headed over there early then I had a call in with the aps for all the new district leaders which was me just sitting next to them while everyone else was on the phone haha. then we grabbed some lunch and went contacting! It was cool we taught this guy the restoration on the street and he set up for next week so that was cool! He's from Palestine and we found him by the big college. Then we finished weekly planning and then headed over to correlation meeting at our ward mission leaders house. So it was cool that was actually the first correlation meeting I've ever had on my mission so that was very pleasant. That was about it for the day!

Today was fun we went to a place called Kutna Hora and it has some cool cathedrals and one with a bunch of bones in it, I'll send some pics.

I'm excited for church tomorrow it will be different for sure haha but we will see how it goes

Light of the World

Hope everyone is doing light the world this year! Make sure you are doing service this Saturday!
#prinestsvetlosvetu
Light of the World

Vesele Dikuvzdani

Wow what a week it feels like this week flew by haha! Time is really going fast this is already the last pday of my 7th transfer that is crazy! Next time I email I will either still be here in Liberec which is a high possibility or in a different city so we will see it is all in the hands of the Lord!!

Tuesday was a pretty normal day we are trying to get our 4 area books into just 2 so we have been doing a lot of calls and a lot of shredding! We called some records from 1996 and they still worked one guy remembered us so that was way cool haha! Then we went contacting for about an hour and it snowed for the 1st time of the year that was something I'm still not sure about winter haha! I miss summer days already! But we found this way cool chic that is apart of some church that wasn't catholic so that was something and was down to meet and see what we have so that was a little miracle! She was way cool her name was Miska! Then two lessons canceled so we went back to work in those area books!

Wednesday the Zone leaders came over in the morning for an exchange! I was with elder Simms who is in my Mtc group so that was cool! I haven't really seen him since the Mtc so it was good to catch up! Last time we saw each other we couldn't speak Czech so it was cool to actually be able to speak! We went to Pavlina, she's the same old same old crazy haha! We filled up her water in the stream again! Then we contacted at homes and talked to some awesome people taught the restoration but no set ups so that was sad but still good! You know as they say just planting seeds! Then we did studies met with Helena helped her a bit and read some of her favorite scriptures then taught English! English was fun we talked about Thanksgiving! Then we had some time so we went trakting! then got some burgers at this way good burger place! I've been here so long I know all the food people! Me and the burger guy are way tight! He loves the Philadelphia Eagles and was giving me the low down about the NFL crazy that the Saints are like way good right now! He was telling me that Drew Brees has been going off! He was telling me about some Chiefs game that was high scoring, sounds crazy!!!

Thursday we had to practice teaching for the ZLs then had our interviews, then they left! Then the rest of the district came over to Liberec and we got lunch then did some group finding! Did a language study together then headed over to the Jones for dinner! It was a fun night! Got to relax a bit which was nice!

Friday we headed over to Prague For ZC it was a good one! we really focused on Christ! Prez always gives  good training! He really focused on us being more in tune with the spirit and studying! It was  good and way spiritual! I way liked Sister Pohorelicka's training about the character of Christ it was fire! The Aps gave a good training too about always teaching! Then we headed home and we had a lesson with a new girl that we found a week ago her name is Jaroslava shes cool though mostly interested in English help but she wants to know the spiritual stuff too! So we hit a lot of HTBT points it was cool! She said she was going to come to church but she missed her bus and couldn't make it which was a bummer!

Saturday was good! We had a lesson with Sousek and we teach him at his work and we are pretty sure he is working when we come over and teach him! But that day we were in the Break room and we heard a door open so he goes out and sees whats up then we hear him talking with some dude! he comes back in tells us to be quiet and turns off the lights hahahaha!!! It was so funny! He came back like 15 mins later telling us that he needs to go! So we ended with a prayer! Turns out that it was his boss! haha Good thing he didn't find us back there! it was way funny! Then we had a lesson with our catholic friend from last week this week we were prepared haha! You know those stories of lessons were the missionaries use the Book of Mormon to answer everything? Well we had one of those lessons and it was awesome! Our message to the world is so simple! Read the Book and pray about it! That's all you have to do to know if these things are true! So we had on plan to teach plan of salvation but didn't even get past the premortal world because he told us that there's no such things as a premortal world haha so we were just like well if this book is true then there was a premortal world a ze to ze josef smith byl prorok bozi a za to ze cirkev jezise krista svatych poslednish dnu je cirvek pana!!!!! Isnt the Gospel the best! Not only is it true but if you live by it you get the coolest blessings ever! Like living with Dave and Jill Heywood forever! Now that is a good blessing!! Then we went over to some members house for some tea and a spiritual thought a great way to end the day!

Sunday was stressful as usual, I did interviews with prez, translated, translated a blessing then taught third hour so that was fun!!! Didn't have too many members there this week but that's ok next week will be better. We contacted a  bit and weekly planned! It was a good week! I love the Czech Republic it is my home away from home!!!

Dalsi

Another week down in Liberec!
Well this week was good but tough! It really saddens my heart when people use their free agency poorly for example not keeping a commitment to read or to come to church or cancelling lessons not answering phone calls etc. But agency is a gift from God and we can't take that away from people! Satan already tried that and look what happened to him! Also its getting cold which makes it even more difficult at times to go outside! But you know what I love every minute of it because I get to proclaim the Gospel in a pretty cool language that still gets the best of me sometimes hahaha spíš it the gets the best of me all the time!

To start off the week we did service for Jindra! He is a great man but just really doesn't want to learn about God but is one of our best friends here and loves us so much we our his "Boys From America" and he likes to show us off! Rest of the day was pretty open because some lessons cancelled!

Wednesday we took a trip over yonder to Jicin to have District council which is district meeting but we changed the name to district council so that was fun and then did a lil finding in Jicin after! I got to be with Elder Fagg I love that kid we have become pretty close this last transfer! Then we bussed back home and had English! I love teaching English Its a lot of fun! Our class is mostly a bunch of old grannys and they are a hoot!

Thursday was a working day with lessons and contacting!

Friday we had weekly planning and then had a lesson with a new guy named Jindra! When Elder Jacobson contacted him he though he said he wasn't a believer  but turns out hes a pretty strong Catholic and did not agree with the Great Apostasy haha! We were not prepared haha but we bore strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and if its true then there was an apostasy! He was intrigued and set back up again for this week so we will be more prepared this week for him as we teach the Plan of Salvation!

Saturday we went over to Ceska Lipa and had a good ole time with the  Mongolians trying to teach them Czech and English then Teaching! They are all amazing and I love everyone of them! We retaught the Plan of Salvation and Turru was getting into some deep doctrine it was way funny and awesome haha!! I love Turru!

Sundays are always hectic from Tithing settlement to translating to translating talks from the pulpit to not knowing that we have to teach Sunday school and whipping a lesson out of no where! Great fun I love it all but man it gives a major headache! I love my mission I love my Branch and I Love the Lord!

Nazdar

Well another pretty good week here in Liberec! Start off with last Monday night we had our branch Halloween party! Czechs dont celebrate Halloween but we had a party and stuff for them! We carved pumpkins and had chili! Elder Jacobson's grandma sent us some Halloween ties so we wore those! It was great fun and we had some less actives there which was fun!

Tuesday was normal we had some time to do some finding so we did a chalk display by the College because we have been really focusing on finding YSA to build the future and they are more open minded haha! It was good we had some great conversations and got a few numbers! It was sad the Horakovi had to cancel because she had work so that really stunk for us! But we have a lesson tomorrow with them so that will be good! Thanks for those pics mom! We are going to show Kaja pics of our own baptisms so that should be good for her to see!

Wednesday we went over to Mlada Boleslav for District meeting then did a lil finding there then we had English right after we got home! English was way fun we taught our class the trick or treat smell my feet song so that was so funny! I took a video so I'll see if I can send it! and that was about it for the day!

Thursday we did service for Jindra! Mostly just stacked wood and racked leaves but his friend was drilling a spring so we watched this huge drill dig into the dirt and watched water spray out like a geyser so that was pretty cool it was like i was back in Yellowstone watching old faithful haha!! Then we met this lady that needed us to translate something for her! Kinda awkward because it was like a death receipt for her husband that just died so that was interesting haha! Then we had a lesson with Sousek and he is really starting to progress he has desire which is awesome and he is keeping commitments! He just needs to start coming to church and he's golden!

Friday not much just a normal day and like weekly planning we set up with this way cool kid who is 17 he took a book of Mormon and we will meet with him tomorrow!

Saturday we went over to Ceska Lipa to have a visit with the Mongolians! Its so cool because they teach us all about their culture so like we are getting a double whammy of culture and man they make some dang good food!! I put on Echbayars traditional hat it was so cool! Ill send a pic! Then we talked about temples with Turru and that next week we will have an interview for him to get a temple recommend! He's pumped! Then we trained back home studied a bit then had a lesson with Lukas we went and got a late lunch with him! I got a pretty weird meal haha its called tatarsky beeftek and its pretty much a ball of raw meet then you put it on bread and eat it! haha Some people dont like it but i actually really did haha! Ill send a pic of that too! Then we had stake conference night session via broadcast so I had to set that all up and we watched that there was some fire talks!

Sunday we had stake conference it was way good! We have amazing leaders here in the Czech Republic! Then Kaja had a bday on Monday so we finally had a chance to go and take her her presents! Got her markers and stuff she loved them!!! It was awesome! YEah that was about our week sorry its not too exciting haha!

Love yall

Probably one of the best weeks of my mission!

Halusky with Horakovi

Tuesday we had a lesson with the Horakovi! Elder Jones called us about an hour before and told us that he had an impression to invite her daughter she is 9 to be baptized tonight! SO we went with it! But first we made Halusky with their family! We brought all the stuff and made it for them! It was so much fun! We had a blast and we really built up a better relationship with sister Horakova! We were cracking jokes and what not just having a good time! Then we taught about baptism it was really spiritual! That night was probably the clearest I  have ever heard the Holy ghost before! While elder Jacobson was talking I had some words just pop into my head on how to extend the date then a  perfectly mild voice told me "Ok Elder Heywood these are the words address the mother first then Kaja" and bang it worked! It was such a tender moment that I will never forget! We just need to get them to church and she will hit her date no problem! Oh in the morning we did some service for Pavlina too that was fun!

Wednesday we woke up nice and early to head over to Prague to hear Elder Cook! It was cool that the whole mission was there and I got to see some people that I have not seen in forever! It was also good to catch up with elder Wutzke for a bit! Then it came time to take our seats and what not and then Elder Cook walked in and the whole room just lit up! We got to shake his hand and also his wife's! It was so awesome! When I shook his wife's hand she said "wow you have an amazing smile!" SO that was pretty cool haha! Then the program started and it was pretty funny to see Prez Poho conduct it all in English! I always think its so weird when he speaks English haha!  Elder Cooks talk was so amazing! He talked about how we need to have more faith and that our mission was a big driving force to the development of Preach My Gospel! And told us a story about that! It was really cool! I don't have my notes with me or else I would tell you more about that but the best part was his testimony! He starts with "As an apostle I have always struggled really how to give my testimony about the Savior because we do not want to talk about these sacred experiences we have as special witnesses of the Lord but..... And now I quote "But I will say this the Savior lives. I know his voice. and I know his face." The spirit was so strong it was insane! Like I can't describe it! He is an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ and that is a fact!! After he left we had permission to stay in Prague and go to the devotional for the stake later that night so we got to help put all the winter tires on all the mission cars so that was fun! Then we headed to this beautiful place were the devotional was! I got to see a lot of members and I got to see Fillip from Ostrava! I was hoping Marcela was going to be there but some members from Jihlava told me she couldn't go so i was a lil bummed! But it was a great meeting! Elder Cook just restated what he talked about in General Conference so that was cool and talked about the responsibility of the Parents! Then he gave the same testimony it was awesome! Then we headed home with the Jones and got home at like 10:25 so we went strait to bed!
Where we had meetings with Elder Cook

Filip!!

Thursday, Friday and Saturday were just normal not much happened!

Then Sunday we had 5 investigators at church and had 2 less active families there it was awesome!  I had to translate at the pulpit for elder Jones so that was rough haha! Then I taught Sunday school and taught about faith in Jesus Christ it went really well! Then I had to do some interviews for elder Jones and some temple recommend interviews then we had ward council and after all the translating my brain was fried! haha! Also winter is pretty much here it has  been cold and rainy everyday the mountains have a lil snow too! Then that night all of our appointments fell through so we went contacting and tracting for the rest of the day in the pouring rain and cold! I had to break out the thermals!!

From Sister Jones email:  "Pavlina made them a treat and brought it to the church.  Elder Jacobson would not try it.  BUT Elder Heywood is made of sterner stuff!

The "treat" consisted of bits of turkey meat mixed with a jelly that she makes out of turkey fat.

Over all an amazing
week! I love the gospel and the joy that it brings!!

On je svetlo svetu!

Had a good week! Had a lot happen so it was nice!

Early morning in Liberec!

Tuesday we had District meeting with Prez then we had interviews with him! I love Prez Pohorelicy so much he is literally the best haha! IN my interview after we prayed the first question he asked me was "Are you tired" haha! How did he know? It was a good interview I asked questions about what defines a consecrated missionary and talked about finding that balance between members and investigators and who needs more attention! It was awesome and he gave me some great counsel on my calling and stuff! He pretty much told me that I would most likely have another transfer in Liberec after this one! But that doesn't bother me! I love it here! Then we started an exchange! I was with Elder Fagg! SO we went out contacting the rest of the day we got a couple numbers and then met up with the other elders later to teach a less active woman! It was a good lesson we taught the restoration using jenga blocks! I love her little kids! One is 6 years old his name is Mira and we are besties!!

Wednesday we were still on exchanges so we did studies got some lunch then did some group contacting! Sister Jones told us that around 2 there are a lot of college students that walk by their apartment so we decided to do a chalk display there! Elder Jacobson chose a scripture to write! Mosiah 16:9! He is the light of the world... So we wrote out then my approach was "hello I am from america and I can't read Czech. Can you read this for me?" (got em every time) Then I would proceed to ask them "Who is it?" "Who is the light?" Which led the discussion into Jesus Christ it was awesome!  Me and elder Fagg gave out three books of Mormon and then we got some more numbers! Pretty successful then we had English class and then had a lesson with Sousek who became a progressing investigator; it was awesome!

Exchange with Starsi Fagg

Thursday we had service with Jindra it was good we helped him with his parking lot again! Its almost done!  After we had a lesson with Karolina we had to be pretty bold with her about who God was, she doesn't really get that he is all loving and powerful and that he had to sacrifice his son he couldn't do it himself. Later that day we went dorm trakting, i hate it! But elder Jacobson likes it so we did it! We did meet this way cool guy from Turkey on the way home! His  name is Mustafa we have a meeting with him tomorrow so that will be way cool!

Friday we had studies, weekly planning then another lesson with Sousek! it went super well! we finished the restoration with him he's really humble and really accepting so hes looking pretty good but wasn't able to come to church on Sunday! We have a lesson with him tomorrow so it will be good!

Pavlinas stream
Saturday we went to Pavlinas! It was Elder Jacobsons 1st time there so it was fun! Her pipe that were we usually fill up her water was dry so she told us to go behind the lake and fill it up in a stream so that's what we did.... hahaha yeah shes crazy! Always an adventure!

This was taken in the Liberec main square this morning.
Sunday was good! We had a less active family there and 3 investigators!! I had a talk and I used the talk Behold the Man by Elder Uchtdorf! Its a good one! The best part was Turru passed the Sacrament! Then he brought a friend to church and during 2nd hour he taught him the whole restoration! I was probably the happiest missionary in the World! Then we had Branch Presidency meeting after church that was good! I'm  now in charge of looking after the Primary so I'm excited to work with all the little kids!!! Pretty good week!

This week will be good we will be in Prague on Wednesday because Elder Cook will be here! I'm way excited!!

Love you all!

Hey

Man cant believe it is already Monday again! Weeks are literally flying by! We kept busy in Liberec this week! Met with  some less actives with the Jones (a lot of headaches from translating), but also really awesome to get to know the members more!

Monday night we had an amazing visit with a single LA mom and her kids! We played Uno with the kids then had a spiritual thought! The spirit was so strong! She shed some tears and accepted our invite back to church! Not for this week but for the next one! They will be out of town this week! But still awesome! Also her daughter is 9 so we will be working with her to get her baptized here in the near future! If you have any ideas for a hands on kid friendly restoration lesson let me know so we can do that tomorrow!

Tuesday we did studies had a lil time to find so we took down the whiteboard and asked people why they got up in the morning and stuff it was cool! I for some reason had a lot of drunk people come up to me in those short two hours! I helped a drunk man fix his medal that he was wearing around his neck so that was pretty funny! #doingagoodturndaily! Then we had a first lesson with this insane dude that we met last week! We were pretty surprised that he came but we went up stairs and had quite the lesson not really sure what was going on the whole time he kept talking about his belt and almost took off his pants hahaha!! It was hard not to laugh!! It was pretty crazy haha! Then we went to go visit a member with the Jones but they weren't home so we got back and had dinner and did language study!

Wednesday we had district meeting in Jicin then had Helena come to English and Radovan and a kid named Lucus so that took up our day!

Thursday we went to a less actives home in Zelezny Brod, it was a pleasant visit! We haven't seen them in a while! We also had service for Jindra it was good! We stacked wood and filled in a trench for him!

Friday we did a study had a lesson with Sousek who is new so we set expectations and had a good lesson! He had a lot of questions about the second coming of Christ, but we told him that he needs a solid foundation before we can answer those! Then we got on a us to go back to Jicin to do some finding there! The bus sucked it was packed full so we had to stand for a hour and a half! Then we did finding there then went back home and finished studies

Saturday we went on a vylet with some of the branch members! Lets just say that it wasn't very well planned and that we walked a lot farther than everyone wanted and people got tired haha!! But it was fun! It was nice to be outside in the amazing weather we are having before it gets super cold again! Then went and gave this less active woman a blessing before she has surgery beginning of next week! It was a  good visit and the spirit was there for sure! Then we had a lesson that night with another Lukas! It was good, he'll get there he just talks way too much about the stuff that doesn't matter so kinda frustrating but all good!

Sunday was tiring! A lot of translating haha! But it was awesome a less active that hasn't been in a year and a half came!!! It was awesome! Then my comp taught second hour and I taught 3rd hour! It was good then had a couple meetings after church! Church was spiritual though with testimony meeting! We have some amazing faithful members here! Then we taught Jindras kids English and he gave Elder Jacobson some European cowboy boots which was funny but they didn't fit him so he gave them to me!! They are some slick boots! hahaha!

Also forgot to add that Turru was ordained a Priest yesterday and received the Priesthood! We are so happy for him! and his friend echkbayar ordained him in Mongolian it was awesome!

Good week! Today we went to castle with another companionship from the district the others didn't come they missed their bus so I'll send some pics!!

Love you all!

Wow GC

Man what a week of revelation! General Conference was amazing!! I don't think I have ever been so excited to watch General Conference in my life! It literally felt like the Super Bowl! Me and my comp were getting so lit when the countdown clock hit 1 minute!!! We knew something was big was coming fast because someone told us that the Czech translators couldn't have access to a couple talks for translating!!! Pretty crazy!!! So 2 hour church!! That's going to be awesome! I don't know about the other part of the world but that is exactly what the Czech Republic needs! Members here just get so burnt out so fast because and its hard having something prepared every hour of church! So that was awesome but that puts a lot of pressure on parents to really teach their children in these later days! It will be cool when all the Handbooks and stuff come out! And not to mention that its going to be so much nicer telling people that church is only 2 hours rather than 3! So many inspiring talks this weekend! The theme was pretty clear this weekend Ministering, teaching in the home, and trials! I think my favorite talk was by M Joseph Brough about trials! Also I loved Prez Nelsons about the name of the church and also Prez Oaks! He put down the law on the plan of salvation! It truly was an inspiring weekend and we had a couple LAs and members show up to watch a couple sessions with us so that was awesome!

Starsi Heywood & Andrejka
Monday was good we had a great visit with the Jarosovi! A LA family and we brought the Jones with us! The mom speaks perfect English so she really  opened up with the Jones so that was awesome they can't meet this week because they are busy and I believe them! They own a farm\Hotel and have over 55 horses they took us on a tour it was super nice! I also fell in love with their daughter (I'll send a pic she literally is the cutest thing that has ever walked the earth) It was a good visit and we had a great spiritual thought about prayer at the end!

With Tonic and Andrejka

Tuesday we had district meeting in  Jicin then a lesson later that night!

Wednesday the district came up to Liberec and we did group finding! We brought out a big white board with the Question; What is the best attribute a person can have? So many people wrote their answers it was awesome then we would relate it that Jesus Christ has all of these attributes! We got 8 numbers of people to call back and on Saturday during calls two people set up so that is a success! Then we had a lesson with LA Helena then English then a lesson with Radovan!

Thursday we studied went trachting then had a lesson with Karolina which was good we went over the restoration again and found her concerns are really to do with the character of God.  So this week we will be covering that! Then we went to the Jonesovi and discussed the branch and who needs visits and I called a couple people for them and set some up for this week so that should be cool!

Friday we helped the Jones move in their washer then did service for brother Branda! He pretty much had a huge semi truck come full of wood and then he dumped it and we stacked it all! It was long but  good! We got to know him a bit better and his wife who is very less active! We had dinner then played Bang with their family! It was a really good visit hopefully we can get invited back over soon!

Super Bowl Sunday for the missionaries!!

Shout out to Peta from Jihlava! Shes in the MTC right now and got to sing at General Conference.  I was so happy to see her on the big screen! CR represent!

Saturday and Sunday was General Conference so we spent most of our day at the building so it would play and all that stuff! It was a good first week of the Transfer!

Love you all!
